So this is my first blog entry. What an exciting time to be a photographer and to have such tools like blogs to reach a mass audience. My goals with this blog are to introduce you to my little world of photography and what I learn along the way. This is going to be a venue for images that have visual value and should be shared.
Our first post is from a snowy february afternoon while shooting an assignment for a transportation marketing company. I met this unique individual panhandling on Nicolette avenue. He claimed to be a veteran and was down on his luck. I gave him a smoke and a minute of my attention and in trade he allowed me to make a series of portraits of his situation. I have had opportunities in the past to shoot the street people of Minneapolis but this guy has such grit to his look and authenticity in his overall vibe. I wish him luck and hope he finds his way back home.
