Caleb Truax

As some of you who follow the blog know, I've been shooting a lot of MMA fighters recently to build up a new book of athletic portraits for two reasons. One is to push my skills in another arena & two, I needed a fresh group of personalities for my book. It's been a ton of fun & much more welcoming than I had anticipated. This past Monday, I had the great opportunity to photograph rising star Caleb Truax. Caleb is the genuine article. A formidable contender with lightning speed that could put you out on your ass before the bell stops chiming. We took about 45 minutes to shoot at his gym in Coon Rapids after his workout. Mr. Truax will be fighting Phil Williams tonight at theThe St. Paul Armory
