For over 10 years, Minneapolis glass artist Chris Ahalt has breathed his pieces to life with exquisite beauty & attention to detail. Chris graduated from the Minneapolis College of Art & Design in 2000 after studying sculpture & furniture design. While attending MCAD his friend Bob Heise introduced him to the world of glass. After college he worked for a short time with an art handling company, but realized his gift was in creating works from glass. In 2001 he was introduced to the style of venetian glass by Emilio Santini. In 2005 Chris went to Italy where he studied in great detail the venetian style with world renown glass artist Cesare Toffolo. His work these days is a compliment to those masters with a twist of his own youthful spirit. Colorful & lively with no detail overlooked.
